Geography Bee

On Friday, January 6, ten finalists squared off in the final round of the 2006 National Geographic Geography Bee in front of cheering classmates and supportive parents. This amazing group of 5th graders included Kayla B., Sierra C., Lacie G., Derek G., Sarah J., Wyatt J., Michelle K., Trevor N., Tyler P., and Nicholas S. After a few grueling rounds, two students remained standing for the championship round: Derek G. and Trevor N. The final set of questions involved world geography, and, in the end, Trevor prevailed. Congratulations to our school winner, Trevor N. We wish him luck in the state competition. All finalists and the winner will be recognized at the January 27th Spirit Assembly. |
